SWEET POTATO PIE

Ingredients:
4-6 sweet potatoes, cooked
¼ tsp cardamom
¼ tsp cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
¼ cup raisins
2 Tablespoons sesame butter
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 pie crust (Whole Foods gluten free pie crust)
Yields 1 pie
Instructions:
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Peel sweet potatoes. Boil enough water to cover potatoes and cook until tender. Drain. Mash potatoes and mix all ingredients together. Fill pie crust with potato mixture. Bake 35-40 minutes.

TCM analysis:
This recipe is warm overall. The spices tonify yang, warm the Kd and Sp, and stop diarrhea. The remaining ingredients help tonify qi, yin and blood. In addition, there are several ingredients that facilitate bowel movements by moistening the intestines and generating fluids.
