Banana Bread

Ingredients: (makes 1 loaf)
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1 ¾ C Flour
1 ½ C Sugar
1 C Chopped Walnuts
½ C Vegetable Oil
¼ C + 1 Tbs buttermilk
1 Tsp Vanilla
½ Tsp salt
1 Tsp Baking Soda
Grease and Flour a 9×5 inch pan
Combine all ingredients and mix
Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes
Do not double recipe
Analysis:
Banana: Cold and sweet, Clears heat, lubricates lungs and intestines, lowers blood pressure, helps alleviate alcohol intoxication.
Eggs: Cool and sweet, Nourishes yin, tonifies blood, lubricates dryness and stablizes hyperactive fetus.
Whole Wheat Flour: Slightly cool and sweet, clears heat, quenches thirst, relieves restlessness, promotes diuresis, calms spirit and stops sweating
Sugar: cold and sweet
Walnuts (Hu Tao Ren): Slightly warm and sweet, tonifies the kidney, strengthens back, astringes lung, relieves asthma, lubricates intestines, aids erratic or rebellious qi, and reduces cholesterol.
Oil:
Buttermilk: Neutral and sweet, strengthens weakness, nourishes qi and blood, lubricates dryness
Salt: Cold, salty, slightly sweet, Harmonizes and promotes digestion, strengthens kidney, fortifies bones, tendons and teeth, brightens eyes, detoxifies and acts as a natural preservative.
Overall: This recipe is sweet and moist, lubricating, good for cooling and clearing heat in Lung, calms shen/spirit and good for dry or hot type constipation
