Pear Bai He Tea
Ingredients
- ½ cup dried unsweetened pears, diced (or 1 fresh pear, diced)
- 12 grams bai he (if fresh, one lily bulb)
- 1 bag green tea
- 1 – 3 tsp honey
- 3 cups water
Directions
- Put the pear, bai he and water in a non-reactive saucepan.
- Let soak for 30 minutes.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook at simmer for 30 minutes.
- Turn off heat. Remove lid and add the green tea bag. Let steep for 3 minutes and remove.
- Add honey. Stir well to dissolve.
- Strain and enjoy. Eat the pear.
- When reheating, do so on the stovetop.

Green tea: Cool, bitter, sweet; Resolve phlegm, promote digestion, clear mind, clear heat.
Honey: Neutral to warm, sweet; SP,ST, LU; Nourish Yin, lubricate dryness, tonify Spleen.
CI: severe Spleen Qi or Yang Deficiency; Cold-Phlegm of the Lung
