Hearty Mung bean stew
Ingredients: (serves 3-4 people)

200g mung beans (I measured with my soup bowl,makes 1 soup bowl)
1 onion, peeled and diced
1 carrot, peeled,cut lengthwise and then sliced into half-moon shapes
3 tbs olive oil
2 tbs tomato paste
1 ts cumin
salt,grounded pepper and red pepper flake to taste

1)Wash the beans and transfer them into a saucepan. Cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until beans are cooked.
2)Meanwhile saute the onions in olive oil for about 5 minutes.
3)Then add the carrots, let the carrots cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
4)Add the pepper,spices and mix this sauce.
5)Transfer the sauce into the saucepan full with boiled beans, add water to cover the beans.
6)Bring to boil once more and then it’s ready to serve.

Onion: Clears heat relieves toxicity, Lowers BP and cholesterol
Carrot: Strengthens HRT and SP
Tomato: Clears heat, promotes fluids

Cumin: (?) Warms MJ, Descends ST qi
Pepper: Warms MJ, Descends ST qi

C/CI: Caution in cases of vacuity cold, women should not eat if trying to get pregnant
